Patriotic Cake Mix Cookies Recipe

Once you mix the dry ingredients and form the cookie dough ball, it’s literally pretty much ready to bake! Drop by spoonfuls on your cookie sheet and be as patient as possible while the cookies bake up perfectly golden in the oven. While patriotic sprinkles add a fun look to these cookies, don’t forget that you want to add in the chocolate chips, too!

Since my boys are cookie hounds, they’re always asking for these cookies. With them being so quick and easy to make, I literally can’t, so no! (plus that means that I get to snack on them as well and enjoy in the treat!)

What if I don’t have patriotic sprinkles?

Don’t fret. You can easily improvise and use red food coloring and blue food coloring to add some color super easy. The patriotic sprinkles are really fun and add to the look, but you have options on other ways to add those red, white, and blue colors.

Patriotic Cake Mix Cookies Recipe

Yield: 18 cookies
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

These cake mix cookies are a fast and simple recipe! They're easy to make and soft!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup of chocolate chips
  • 3 T or red,white, and blue sprinkles or Patriotic star sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add parchment paper to your baking pan.
  3. Mix the eggs, cake mix, and vegetable oil in a bowl and make the dough. Fold in the sprinkles and chocolate chips.
  4. Place scoops of the dough on the baking pan, leaving about 2 inches between each one.
  5. Bake in the oven for 9-10 minutes.
