As a busy Southern mom, I have to have quick meals on certain nights of the week. Plus, my boys like for me to change things up. These quick and easy chicken puffs are fun for the boys and can be made pretty quickly. If you pre-make the filling, you can throw them together in just a few minutes at night and your kids can even help!
Quick and Easy Chicken Puffs
Premake the filling of these quick and easy chicken puffs and cut down dinner time by half!
- 2 skinless boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
- 3 tablespoons chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- 3/4 8 ounce package cream cheese
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 3 10 ounce cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
In a saucepan over medium heat, slowly cook skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, onion and garlic. Cook until onions are tender and chicken is browned and cooked through.
In a bowl, mix chicken mixture, cream cheese and butter until creamy.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Unroll croissants and divide in half to create 12 rectangles. Put one tablespoon of the chicken mixture on each rectangle. Fold into balls.
Place balls on a large baking sheet. Bake in the oven 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
