This Peanut Butter Pretzel Fudge Recipe combines two irresistible flavors in one! The rich, creamy peanut butter fudge is tossed with chunks of salty pretzels, creating that perfect sweet-and-salty combo I can’t get enough of.

When craving an easy fudge dessert, this recipe hits all the right notes with its swirls of golden caramel weaving through each piece. I love how the pretzel topping adds a satisfying crunch while the fudge stays perfectly smooth and velvety.

The brown sugar in the recipe gives it that deep, almost toffee-like flavor that takes this treat to the next level!

Just looking at these squares makes my mouth water. Those glossy caramel ribbons and pretzel patterns on top look gorgeous!

Making this fudge is like conducting a delicious symphony of flavors. The sugars, milk, and butter melt into a bubbling caramel-colored base. Adding the peanut butter transforms it into a smooth, velvety, dreamy mixture.

I love watching the caramel sauce create beautiful swirls as it mingles with the peanut butter fudge. It’s like edible art!

The pretzels aren’t just for show, either! They add the perfect crunch and saltiness that takes this fudge to the next level. Plus, they stay surprisingly crispy thanks to being placed on top rather than mixed in.

Letting the fudge cool entirely is vital to getting that perfect texture. The wait is torture but worth it when you bite into that creamy, crunchy piece of heaven!

Why do my pretzels get soft in the fudge?

Pretzels can get soft when exposed to moisture from the fudge. I press them in before the fudge sets fully to keep them crunchy. This way, they stick to the surface without absorbing too much moisture.

I also store my fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Doing this keeps both the fudge and pretzels in prime condition. If you’re making this beforehand, you can even wait to add the pretzels until just before serving.

Does the type of peanut butter matter for this fudge?

Yes, the type of peanut butter you choose can make a big difference in how your fudge turns out! For the best results, I always use regular creamy peanut butter (not the natural kind that separates). Natural peanut butter can make the fudge grainy and affect how well it sets.

All-natural peanut butter has different oil content and consistency that can throw off the texture of your fudge. Even if you usually prefer natural peanut butter, stick with brands like Jif or Skippy for this recipe. They’ll give you that perfectly smooth, creamy fudge texture every time!
