What is the best way to melt melting wafers?

The best way to melt melting wafers is to use either a microwave or a double boiler. Here’s a quick guide for each method:

  1. Microwave Method:
    • Place the wafers in a microwave-safe bowl.
    • Heat them in the microwave on medium power for 30-second intervals.
    • Stir the wafers after each interval to ensure even melting.
    • Continue heating and stirring until the wafers are completely melted and smooth.
  2. Double Boiler Method:
    • Fill the bottom pot of a double boiler with a few inches of water and bring it to a simmer.
    • Place the wafers in the top pot or a heatproof bowl that fits snugly over the pot of simmering water.
    • Stir the wafers constantly until they are melted and smooth.

In both methods, be careful not to overheat the wafers, which can cause them to seize or become grainy. Stirring frequently helps achieve a smooth consistency.
