Do professionals use cake mix?

Cake mix has become a common ingredient in many households for making cake quickly and easily. However, whether professionals use cake mix remains a question.

Professional bakers are generally trained to make cakes from scratch, and many consider it a point of pride to create a cake entirely on their own. However, some professional bakers use cake mix as a time-saving and cost-effective measure.

It allows them to quickly and easily create cakes with consistent results, especially for large-scale events.

Ultimately, professionals’ use of cake mix depends on their personal preferences and business demands.

Is box cake mix cheaper than homemade?

The age-old debate about using a boxed cake mix or a homemade recipe is common when it comes to making a cake. While the convenience of a boxed mix may be appealing, many wonder if it’s cheaper in the long run.

After all, you still have to add eggs, oil, and other ingredients to the mix, so how much are you saving? The truth is, it can go either way.

While boxed cake mixes are often cheaper per ounce than buying all the ingredients for a homemade cake, you may need multiple boxes for larger cakes, which can quickly add up.

Additionally, if you already have essential baking ingredients like flour and sugar, making a cake from scratch might be more cost-effective.

Ultimately, deciding between boxed cake mix and homemade is up to personal preference – and budget!
