The Perfect Autumn Pumpkin Brownies
Pumpkin Brownies are such a great way to welcome in fall! This autumn brownie recipe will have you loving that pumpkin flavor. This just might turn into your favorite fall dessert. (It’s one of my favorite Easy Pumpkin Recipes!)
It really is amazing how the flavors of chocolate and pumpkin just go perfectly together to give that awesome fall taste. And the best part? This chocolate brownie recipe takes minimal effort on your part!
Mixing together the pumpkin puree and brownie batter create quite the beautiful brownies with a pumpkin swirl. Who says you can’t make awesome brownies from scratch? You don’t need to use a brownie mix!

Pumpkin Brownies
Allow the cream cheese to soften so you don’t get any lumps and make certain that you follow the directions on the recipe card below to make these tasty swirl brownies. You can also opt to use some pumpkin pie spice if you’re running low in cinnamon or nutmeg.
These really do have a great taste and in my mind, remind me a bit of pumpkin pie filling. That pumpkin flavor is strong and I really enjoy these when we make them. My boys do as well because the baking pan is literally emptied once they’re cool enough to touch and grab!
How do you know when the brownies are done baking?
A toothpick inserted into the middle of the brownies will give you your answer. If the toothpick comes out clean, remove from the oven!

Pumpkin Brownies
These Pumpkin Brownies are so simple and easy to whip up and are a great flavor for fall.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree
- 6 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup good cocoa powder
- ½ cup of all-purpose flour
- Pinch salt
Instructions
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Spray the baking pan (9X9) with cooking spray.
Grab a large bowl and mix together the cream cheese, cinnamon, pumpkin, and nutmeg.
Use a large saucepan and melt the butter over medium heat.
Once heated, take off the heat and whisk in the eggs, vanilla, and sugar.
Next, add in the dry ingredients and mix using a spoon that is wooden.
Take and pour in half of the brownie batter into the pan and spread out.
Once that is spread out, add in spoonfuls of the pumpkin mixture and brownie batter. Then take a fork and swirl it all together.
Take and place the pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
