The fudginess of these brownies comes through in every single bite. When you mix in the mashed bananas, the flavor is out of this world. I’m a fan of baking these brownies together as a family and enjoying every single bite.
My boys love when I make brownies because they get to grab and eat on the run. This makes for a simple dessert that they can enjoy over and over again!
How do you know when brownies are done baking?
After you spread the brownie mixture into the prepared pan, pop it into the oven to bake. Once it turns lightly golden brown, it’s time to do the toothpick test. Take a clean toothpick and stick it into the middle. If it comes out clean, they’re done!

You can always toss on some extra semi-sweet chocolate chips or even some powdered sugar right on top as well. I like to pair up sweetness on top of my brownies!

- 1 box of milk chocolate brownie mix
Banana brownie ingredients
- 2 Cups of flour
- 1 1/2 Cup of light brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup of sugar
- 1 C unsalted softened sweet cream butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 Cup of mashed banana
- 1/2 Cup of chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix the eggs, oil, and water, and brownie mix.
Pour into the pan.
To make the banana brownie:
Mix the butter, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, and regular sugar.
Slowly mix in the mashed banana and flour.
Scoop out small dollops and put them onto the other brownie batter in the baking pan.
Use a spatula and smooth out the banana mixture.
Take a butter knife and swirl the banana mixture throughout.
Add the chocolate chips on top.
Put in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Let cool and slice into serving sizes.
