spring salad treat is the perfect sweet for a warm spring day

This delicious and easy Orange Coconut Salad is one of my favorite low calorie sweets with fruit. So versatile, it works as a side, as dessert–breakfast in a pinch. Seriously yummy.

If you’re just here for the oranges, though, be sure to check out these awesome 25+ Orange Recipes. A little bit of everything here that you’re sure to love. And maybe a few that you’ll be adding to your list of favorite recipes ever!

But let’s focus for a second on how yummy this awesome combination of oranges, coconut and greek yogurt–and no added sugar can be. Grab a large bowl, friends, because this one’s going to be tasty.

This recipe is very similar to Seafoam Salad!

Ideas to Make Your Fruit Salad Shine:

Look, I get it. Sometimes, you don’t want just navel oranges and a little coconut to get you through (just kidding, I love it just the way it comes, but whatever). So, I’ve come up with some mix-ins that you can add to your fruit dessert to change it up:

  • Whipped Cream
  • Crushed Pineapple
  • Maraschino Cherries
  • Marshmallows and Coconut Balls
  • Summer Berries
  • Nuts

Now, I like to put my fruit cocktail dessert recipe on ice cream or toss off a dollop of cool whip. But the deal is, even if you have a sweet tooth, this sweet treat is ready to serve just like it is.

Specialty Ingredients:

The following ingredients are affiliate links on Amazon because they may be a bit hard to find in your normal store.  I wanted you to be able to see exactly which things we are using.

  • Coconut Extract
  • Grated Coconut

Reminder, not all ingredients in the Orange Coconut Salad Recipe are linked above, just the ones that may be a bit difficult to find or that you might be unsure of what to look for.

Since I’m only one person, I am hoping I can use Halo’s instead of Full Size Oranges. I have the coconut and Sour Cream, so I’m going to give it the old college try and use it as a side for my Kaula Pork and Sauteed Zucchini.
