Grilled Peach Salad with Grapefruit Vinaigrette

Sharing is caring!

Grilled Peach Salad with Grapefruit Vinaigrette is the perfect light lunch or dinner. Easy dinner recipes like this are perfect with fresh peaches – So fast and easy.

This is a great side dish or main meal option, too. Grilling the peaches is the perfect way to bring out that natural sweetness!

Doesn’t this simple salad look so refreshing? I love that it’s fast and easy, but it’s also filling at the same time. I always make this during peach season because fresh peaches are the best!

Grilled Peach Salad with Grapefruit Vinaigrette

Combining the flavors of peach and grapefruit creates such a refreshing dish. I love making the salad dressing because it’s flavorful, and I control the outcome.

You’re missing out if you haven’t ever put peaches on the grill. It’s an easy process that leaves those sought-after grill marks but helps make the peaches taste even sweeter.

The boys in my house agree that this is how a salad should taste! Forget about those thick and heavy dressings and embrace how easy it is to make your own!

Do I need to peel peaches before grilling them?

No, you don’t need to peel peaches before grilling. The peach skin not only holds the fruit together, preventing it from becoming too soft and mushy during grilling, but it also adds a delightful texture and slightly caramelized flavor.

Wash the peaches thoroughly to remove pesticides or dirt. Slice them in half and remove the pit before placing them on the grill.

Enjoy the natural sweetness and enhanced flavors of grilled, skin-on peaches!

How do I know when a peach is ripe?

Determining the ripeness of a peach is simple. When gently squeezed, a ripe peach will have a sweet, fragrant aroma and a slight give.

Look for a vibrant color, primarily golden or yellow, with a blush of red. The skin should be free of green tones, and the fruit should feel heavy for its size.

A ripe peach often has a slight wrinkle around the stem, indicating it’s ready to be enjoyed. Remember, peaches continue to ripen after being picked, so leaving them at room temperature for a day or two can help achieve perfect ripeness if they are still slightly firm.
