Instructions to Make No Churn Firecracker Ice Cream Recipe

This no churn ice cream couldn’t be easier! Follow these steps for a creamy, dreamy, colorful dessert:

  1. Whip the Cream – Use a hand or stand mixer to beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Fold in Sweetened Condensed Milk & Vanilla – Gently fold in the condensed milk and vanilla extract. Don’t overmix—you want to keep the airiness!
  3. Divide & Dye – Separate the mixture into three bowls. Leave one white, tint one red, and one blue using food coloring.
  4. Layer It Up – Spoon alternating colors into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl for a firecracker tie-dye effect.
  5. Top with Sprinkles – Add your festive sprinkles over the top before freezing!
  6. Freeze Until Firm – Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight for best results.

Dessert Tips and Tricks

  • Use Gel Food Coloring – It gives brighter, more vibrant colors without watering down the mixture.
  • Freeze Overnight – For best texture and clean scoops, give it plenty of time to set.
  • Metal Pans Freeze Faster – Using a metal loaf pan helps the ice cream chill more evenly and quickly.

Troubleshooting No Churn Firecracker Ice Cream Recipe

  • Too soft after freezing? Pop it back in the freezer a little longer or check that your freezer is at optimal temp (0°F or lower).
  • Colors mixed too much? Be gentle when swirling to avoid a murky look. A few swirls go a long way!
  • Overmixed whipped cream? Stop beating once stiff peaks form to avoid a dense texture.
