Can I prep a charcuterie board in advance?

Preparing a charcuterie board in advance is possible and highly recommended, especially if you’re planning to entertain guests. By assembling your board ahead of time, you allow yourself more opportunity to focus on other aspects of hosting, such as preparing the main dish or greeting your guests as they arrive.

Remember to place any fresh fruits, like grapes or berries, right before the event to keep them looking vibrant and delicious.

By prepping your charcuterie board in advance, you create a delightful spread that’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also stress-free, giving you more time to enjoy the company of your guests.

This Snowman Buttercream Board Recipe is so much fun to make - and eat! Find out how easy it is to make!

Ingredients

  • Chocolate and vanilla buttercream
  • Blue Sprinkles
  • M&Ms
  • Peel Apart Twizzlers
  • Oreos
  • Chocolate chip cookies
  • Shortbread cookies
  • White and dark chocolate covered pretzels
  • Strawberries

Instructions

  1. Add chocolate and white buttercream into different piping bags. Clip off the ends to create an open circle about 1/2-inch in size.
  2. Outine the snow and shape of the snowman using the white buttercream. Fill in the shape with the white buttercream.
  3. Make a brown hat outline on top of the snowmans' head, and fill it in with the brown frosting.
  4. Spread and even out any lines that might need it using a butter knife. Add a few blue sprinkles to make it look like snow on the bottom of the snowman and charcuterie board.
  5. Add 2 mini M&M candies for the eyes, and 6 orange M&M's to make the nose. You'll need 4 more to make the smile. Make the buttons on the snowman using more M&M's.
  6. Use the Twizzlers to share around the neck of the snowman and drape down to act like a scarf.
  7. Add the Oreo cookies to the bottom right of the board. Leave a bit of space in the middle right, and add some white chocolate covered pretzels on the top near the bat.
  8. On the left side of the snowman, repeat with the shortbread cookies on the top left portion and the chocolate chip cookies on the bottom right.
  9. In the middle right side area, add the dark chocolate covered pretzels.
  10. Fill in any open spaces with fresh strawberries.
