Shark Shaped Charcuterie Board

Everyone loves charcuterie boards – and this one is no exception. While others will include meats and cheeses as ingredients, this board is all about the sweets!

It would be super cute to have it ready for Shark Week! The whole family can add to the board or pick and choose what they want to eat. It’s a fun way to celebrate the week and easily fill bellies.

I stuck with ocean colors on this one, but as with any snack board, you can mix and match or create your own look. You seriously can’t go wrong!

What is Shark Week all about?

Shark Week is a highly anticipated annual event on the Discovery Channel that showcases one of the ocean’s predators—the shark. This week-long extravaganza dives deep into the world of sharks, offering viewers an array of documentaries, interviews, and footage highlighting these marine creatures’ awe-inspiring and misunderstood aspects.

Shark Week aims to educate, entertain, and inspire a greater appreciation for these majestic yet often misrepresented animals. It explores their biology and behavior, debunks myths, and promotes shark conservation.

What drinks pair well with dessert snack boards?

When it comes to pairing non-alcoholic drinks with dessert snack boards, the options are delightful and varied. Herbal teas, such as chamomile or mint, offer a soothing complement to rich chocolates and fruity pastries.

For a refreshing twist, sparkling water infused with citrus or berries can balance the sweetness of cookies and cakes. With its bold and smooth flavor, cold brew coffee pairs wonderfully with decadent brownies and creamy cheesecakes.

These non-alcoholic beverages enhance the flavors of your dessert board and provide a sophisticated, enjoyable experience for all.

This Shark Shaped Charcuterie Board is a fun treat for Shark Week!

Ingredients

  • Baby Blue Sharks Gummy Candy
  • Twisty Lollipops
  • Shark tooth Candy Necklace
  • Shark Fin Pops
  • Swedish Fish
  • Swedish Fish and Friends
  • Blue Crystal Pops
  • Fruit Strips
  • Blue Flame Chips
  • Blue Jello
  • Mini Cupcakes with blue frosting
  • Sky Blue Candy Coated Chocolates
  • Indigo Candy Coated Chocolates
  • Teddy Bear cookies
  • Mini Powdered Donuts

Instructions

  1. Start by mixing your Jello according to the instructions on the box.
  2. While the liquid is warm, put the mixture in a pitcher so its easier to pour into the small portion cups. Fill them 3 quarter of the way up.
  3. Place the portion cups in the fridge for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once the Jello cups are complete, place a gummy shark or turtle in the cup.
  5. Get your powdered donuts and red strips. Use a knife or small scissors to cut the red strips into fours.
  6. Tuck the red strips into the hole on the top of the donut and then tuck the other ends into the bottom hole.
  7. Next place a teddy bear cookie in the middle of the donut. So it looks like a bear on a floatie.
  8. Get your serving board and pour your sky blue and indigo candy coated chocolates all over it. Mix them up and spread them out so they look like water.
  9. Gather your remaining gummy fish and sharks. Place them randomly on the board. If the sharks blend to much with the chocolates move them over and lay them straight on the board.
  10. Next place the crystal lollipops on both sides of the board and place the twisty lollipop on the top and bottom of the board. Feel free to double up on any of the lollipops.
  11. Put the Pops with the Shark faces in the middle of the board around the gummy creatures.
  12. Put the Jello cups on top of the twisty lollipop sticks to cover them up and also place some cups randomly on the board.
  13. Put the cup cakes opposite the jello cups.
  14. Lay the blue wave chips around the edge of the board to look like waves.
  15. Slide the shark fin lollipops under the blue wave chips. I put one at the top, bottom and each side to look like sharks swimming around the board.
