What does fondant taste like?

Fondant is a bit of a mystery when it comes to taste! If you’ve never had it, imagine a super-smooth, sugary blanket with a texture that’s almost like a pliable marshmallow. It’s sweet—really sweet—with a mildly vanilla-like flavor that’s subtle enough not to overpower the cake underneath.

Some people love it, and some aren’t huge fans, but there’s no denying it makes cakes look stunning!

How do I keep cupcakes from drying out?

The trick to keeping them moist and delicious is all about storage and timing. Once your cupcakes have cooled completely, store them in an airtight container to lock in the moisture. Adding a layer of plastic wrap over the top before you put the lid on can help, too!

If you’ve got frosted cupcakes, make sure the frosting has set before covering them, or you’ll end up with a sticky mess. And here’s a pro tip—if you’re baking ahead, pop your cupcakes in the freezer! They’ll stay fresh for weeks; all you need to do is thaw them at room temperature when you’re ready to indulge.
