Oven Steak Fries Recipe:

This recipe only uses five ingredients. That’s it. It’s a super simple side that’s awesome with just about any backyard barbecue meal you can come up with.

I like to leave my potatoes unpeeled, but you can peel yours if you want. If you do, you might need to reduce the cooking time just a little to keep them from getting mushy.

And now – without further ado – the Oven Steak Fries recipe!

Need some main dish ideas to serve with these steak fries? Try Coffee Spice Rubbed Steaks, Slaw Burgers, Fiesta Burgers, or Honey BBQ Chicken Wings. Just be sure to have plenty of ketchup (or if you are like me and my kids… Ranch!) on hand!

Your oven steak fries look like they came out of a restaurant or were pre-made. Very appetizing…I’d like to make some that looked half as good. I think I’ve been cutting them the wrong way.

I never used to be a fan of roasted potatoes but in the past few years they’ve become one of my favourite things to eat! I love the addition of spices on these!

These looks super yummy! I wonder if these would freeze well, if I flash froze them? I would love to have these as a more natural alternative to store-bought frozen steak fries with all their gross preservatives.

I love making my own fries at home. They are so much better for you and you can add tons of special ingredients to each one. We make cajun fries all the time!

Your steak fries look amazing! Mine never crisp up quite like this, so I’ll be trying your recipe next time, as there’s obviously something I’m doing wrong.

If you allow them to “rest” for up to 10 minutes, they will crisp – but don’t cover them! If you cover them, the heat create steam – the steam will make them soggy. 🙂

I’m going to try this recipe. Mine always turn out mushy – but I never bake them at 500 degrees – that must be the key!

So simple and soooooo much healthier! I wonder if you could do sweet potatoes the same way?

By the way, I’m so sorry Food on Fridays was unavailable last week. I was locked out of my blog and unable to get in and publish anything at all. But thanks to my new tech support, it’s live now, if you would like to join up this week. No pressure. I just wanted you to know.

    Have a healthy week!
