How long do truffles typically stay fresh?
While the timeframe can vary, storage is the main component of keeping homemade truffles fresh. Once made, have an airtight container or bag ready to store them in.
Due to the ingredients used, these truffles need to be stored in the fridge. They should stay fresh for up to a week if they’re sealed and safe from the air!
You can prepare them a few days in advance so they’re ready for the party.
Be sure to put parchment paper between the layers if you are stacking them so they don’t stick.
The last thing that you want to have happen is for them to stick and pull off some of that delicious coating.

Is it OK to freeze Oreo truffles?
You bet! The best part about making a big batch of truffles is that you can put them in the freezer for later! Who says you have to eat them all in one setting?
To freeze truffles, have a freezer-safe container or bag. Then, add a layer of parchment paper between each layer so they don’t stick together when freezing.
To thaw and have them ready to eat, move them to the fridge for a few hours. You can also eat them while frozen for a different taste and flavor.
I like to freeze truffles in smaller bags, so I’m only unthawing a few at once!
