But back to these adorable, sweet and ridiculously easy OREO truffle birds’ nest cookies. The yellow melted chocolate brings bright and cheerful color and the candy eggs offer chocolatey crunch perfect to pair with the Golden Oreo and cream cheese mixture.

Tips for making Bird Nest Cookies:

These cookies only require four ingredients. They are one of the easiest (and cutest) cookies I’ve ever made.

  • Take the cream cheese out of the fridge a few hours prior to let soften.
  • I used a food processor to crush my Oreos but you could always use a rolling pin and large freezer bag.
  • Let the melted chocolate cool a few minutes after melting and then scoop it into a small sandwich bag. Snip one corner with scissors and then squeeze the melted chocolate into the cookie cups.

These cookies are so fun to make and my kids loved helping make them, just as much as they enjoyed eating them!

Why are themed foods so fun to make for the holidays?

There is something undeniably special about themed foods during the holiday season. Perhaps it’s the extra bit of effort required to create something outside the ordinary.

Maybe it’s the holiday spirit and the excitement that comes with it. Whatever the case may be, themed dishes can bring joy and entertainment to any holiday gathering.

Whether you’re whipping up pumpkin-shaped cookies for Halloween or a turkey-shaped loaf for Thanksgiving, themed foods are a fabulous way to showcase your creativity in the kitchen during festive periods.

The thrill and joy they provide make them immensely popular among home cooks and chefs alike.

And who wouldn’t want to add a bit of pizzazz to their holiday spread?

When it comes to themed dishes during the holidays, it’s clear that the possibilities are endless, and the fun is limitless.

How do I keep cookies from going stale?

When it comes to keeping cookies from going stale, there are a few important things to keep in mind. First and foremost, proper storage is key.

Cookies should always be kept in an airtight container, such as a cookie jar or Tupperware container, to prevent air and moisture from getting in and causing them to go stale.

It’s also important to avoid exposing cookies to heat or sunlight, as this can also lead to staleness.

For particularly fragile cookies, you may want to consider placing a piece of bread or an apple slice in the container with them to help keep them moist.

By following these simple steps, you can keep your cookies fresh and delicious for days or even weeks to come.

What are the most popular cookie flavors?

When it comes to cookies, the flavor options are endless. From classic chocolate chips to unique combinations like salted caramel and oatmeal raisin, cookie enthusiasts have a plethora of options to choose from.

However, according to recent surveys, there are a few flavors that seem to reign supreme in popularity.

Topping the list are chocolate chip cookies, which have been a beloved classic for generations.

Following close behind are peanut butter cookies, adored for their creamy and nutty taste.

Other popular flavors include oatmeal, sugar, and Snickerdoodle.

While personal preferences may vary, it is clear that these tried and true flavors continue to hold a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of cookie lovers everywhere.

Spring is officially here. Let's celebrate spring with these colorful no-bake Bird Nest Cookies!

Ingredients

  • 18 vanilla Oreo cookies
  • 4oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup yellow candy melts
  • 25-30 candy eggs

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.

Place Oreos in a food processor and pulse until crumbled into fine bits.

Fold cream cheese and Oreo crumbs together in a large bowl.

Roll Oreo and cream cheese mixture into spheres, about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place each one on lined baking sheet.

Use the back of a rounded teaspoon to press an indent in the center of each Oreo truffle.

Press along the edge of each truffle, to shape it into a nest. The center cavity/indentation should be about 1 inch in diameter.
