Hearing the word truffle makes me think of “fancy.” Is there anything hard about making them? Not at all! But knowing that they’re truffles makes me think they’re more work!

To be honest, they might be easier than other treats and sweets, but that will be our little secret to keep. Having a good truffle recipe in your bank of recipes is priceless – something everyone should have!

We tend to make truffles quite a bite in our house because they’re something that is different and tasty. The boys in my house LOVE being able to grab and eat one as they walk through the kitchen!

What is the best way to dip the truffles into the melted chocolate?

Once you melt the chocolate, it’s important to dip the truffles into it so that you don’t waste or have excess. The good news is that this is simple to do!

I like to put the truffle balls on top of a fork and then lower the fork and truffle into the melted chocolate. I fully dunk it and then bring it up, letting the excess melted chocolate drip back into the bowl.

Be sure to dip the truffle entirely, so the entire dessert is covered with chocolate. If the chocolate is dripping off quickly, you can top the fork carefully against the side of the bowl.

This is the best way to dip and save as much excess chocolate as possible. It will also help keep the chocolate consistency from one truffle to the next.

How do you store truffles?

You must store truffles the right way once you make them. Due to the ingredients in this truffle recipe, they need to be kept cool.

Storing truffles in an airtight container is a must for freshness and flavor. Never put anything in the fridge that doesn’t have a lid because it will take on the flavors and scents of everything else that is stored in the fridge.

You can also freeze truffles to save them for later by adding them to a freezer-safe storage bag or container. Keeping them sealed from the cold air is key.

FAQs about Valentine’s Day Truffles Recipe:

Yes! You can use mascarpone or softened ricotta cheese for a slightly different texture and taste, or nut butters for a non-dairy option.

Keep truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week to keep them fresh and firm.

Display them in mini cupcake liners or place them in decorative Valentine’s boxes to give as gifts or enjoy at parties.
