Oh, and my Cricut and the light grip mat. I needed that, too.

Necessary Tools:

While you absolutely do not have to use a cutting machine like the Cricut or Silhouette machines, I have found that it makes putting together baby shower invitations, decorations, or anything I find I need that has lots of little cutting required, a much less tedious process.

So, to make these shower decorations for little man, here’s the tools I used:

Tips and Tricks:

Besides taking the tedium out of the project with a cutting machine and you have the downloads in had for this baby shower for boys, you’re already about halfway done with this party baby shower theme.

But, when you’ve walked through the tutorial and got your decorations in hand, what do you DO with them? Well, pull up your suspenders and let’s get making!

  • Tape two of the medium round “faces” to either side of a toothpick, then pop that into a cupcake. Viola! You have little man cupcakes that are ready to go!
  • Tape the baseball and mini “batter up!” pennant banner on the front of your centerpieces, or attach it to two chopsticks to pop on top of the baby shower cake.
  • Add a little handful of the baseball table scatter into each invitation envelope. Not as annoying as glitter, but still a fun pre-party favor.
  • Toss whatever baby shower favors you make into a catcher’s mitt with a ton of the table scatter as a fun decoration before passing out the favors.
  • Make your medium baseballs or the little pennants into bingo pieces for your baby shower game!

Also, I have a couple of notes to make cutting card stock on a cutting machine a little easier:

  • Start with a clean knife blade. Take a tip from me, cutting card stock with a dirty blade leads to messy cuts, so wipe it with a little alcohol before using it.
  • Secure the card stock firmly to the cutting mat everywhere–not just around the edges. The paper can pull up and get caught on the blade, tearing up your whole design.

What Do You Do With These Little Man Baby Shower Decorations?

What CAN’T you do with these ridiculously FUN dapper dude themed baby shower decorations?! Use the little bitty pennant banner to help support the big, round centerpieces, throw a million of the mini mustaches and round faces on the table as scatter, use the big round monocle items as table markers or numbers. I’ve even whipped up elements of these decorations on a diaper cake for cute decorations to bring it all together.

Whatever it ends up that you decided to use them for, these are fantastic decorations for your boy-themed baby shower. Just cut them out and make it up as you go – and no one will see the party as any less dapper and fun!
