What I love about making these crescent roll poppers is that they’re fast, simple, and taste like everything was made from scratch. Your secret is safe with me – because this recipe is a breeze! (and no one needs to know that but you!)
The other good thing about this simple starter is that it’s easy to pick up and eat. Forget about dirtying up plates and silverware and whip this up instead.
You can use a napkin to wipe off your hands once you’re done or grab another one to eat!
Jalapeno Popper Rolls Recipe
Using crescent roll dough to make these poppers is such a simple ingredient. Since it’s already made, it’s as easy as rolling out and filling.
We have made these for the holidays, for family gatherings, and even for a fun weekend at home. The added jalapeno and bacon complement the texture, too.
My boys love these popper rolls because they’re customizable. You can easily change the type of cheese used or even sneak in a few other ingredients, like chopped onions. The options are endless!
Can I use pickled jalapenos for this recipe?
You can use either. I like to use fresh jalapenos, but that is because I’m always looking for heat and spiciness.
If you use pickled jalapenos, you must make sure to drain them and pat them dry with a clean paper towel.
The liquid from the jarred jalapenos will be too much to have in the crescent roll, making them into a soggy mess.
For fresh jalapenos, make sure that you wear gloves when chopping and deseeding or wash your hands extremely well when you’re done cutting them. The last thing that you want to have to happen is to touch your face or eyes with hands that have touched raw jalapenos.
