Buffalo Chicken Meatballs

When I say that these are easy to make, I am being serious. Sometimes people shy away from making their own meatballs, but they aren’t overly complicated to prepare, and in this case, the slow cooker is going to do a lot of hard work for you.

Simply combine all of the ingredients together and add the ground chicken. The ranch seasoning adds a little extra flavor to the meatballs.

While the slow cooker is doing all of the work, you can settle down and enjoy the game. My boys love a snack when watching sports, and these meatballs go down an absolute storm.

They are the perfect snack size, but you can add different dishes and make a whole meal.

Do I need to use the slow cooker?

In all honesty, you don’t need to use the slow cooker to complete the cooking process of the meatballs. I just like the fact that the slow cooker helps combine the flavors, makes the meatballs really juicy, and it means I can carry on with something else.

Meatballs can be cooked on the skillet, and as you brown off the meatballs in this recipe, you can carry on doing that and then add the sauce. You could also do this in the oven as well if you wish.

Is buffalo sauce spicy?

Buffalo sauce, a culinary creation synonymous with American bar food, strikes a delicate balance between tanginess and heat. Originating from Buffalo, New York, this condiment typically blends cayenne pepper sauce with butter or margarine, diluting the pure spiciness of the cayenne while adding a rich, smooth texture.

The resulting sauce boasts a fiery kick that differentiates it from its milder counterparts. Its spiciness can vary widely among recipes and restaurants, catering to those who relish a mild warmth to daredevils eager for a scorching challenge.

Whether generously slathered on wings or served as a dipping accompaniment, buffalo sauce offers a consistently bold flavor that can invigorate the taste buds and bring sweat to the brow of the spice-intrepid.

How do you get the perfect meatball?

When people think about making meatballs, they can often think it’s complicated. But the great thing about making meatballs at home is that you can use your hands to combine all of the ingredients together and mold the shape to create a solid meatball that is ready to cook.

The problem is, that it can be a little messy. My top tip is to wet your hands a little before grabbing some of the meat mixes and rolling them in the palm of your hands.

The moisture on your hands stops the mixture from sticking to you and you can easily form the perfect meatball.

What do meatballs pair well with?

Meatballs are a versatile and hearty component that can transform a simple meal into a comforting feast. Traditionally, they are beautifully paired with al dente spaghetti and a rich tomato sauce, topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

For a Scandinavian twist, you might serve them with creamy mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam, and a dollop of gravy. In a more casual setting, meatballs nestle perfectly in a crusty sub for a satisfying meatball sandwich slathered in melted mozzarella and marinara sauce.

They are also fantastic when served as an appetizer, skewered with toothpicks, and accompanied by various dips such as a tangy tzatziki or a spicy barbecue sauce.

Ultimately, meatballs are delightfully easy to pair with a wide array of sides, making them an excellent choice for various culinary contexts, from family dinners to festive gatherings.
