I am NOT much of a cook, but when I do cook with a Crock-Pot® my kids and husband are eager beavers to dig into whatever I may cook. I love that when I do cook with a Crock-Pot® that it gives me at least one to two extra hours a day to work or spend more time with my kids doing something fun.
Crock-Pot® has come out with a new slow cooker. When I was given the chance to review the Crock-Pot® “Browning” Slow Cooker w/ Stovetop-Safe Pot in exchange for promoting Crock-Pot® #CrockStars event I was thrilled. I was expecting to have to figure out how to handle another heavy dish without breaking it. Boy was I surprised to find out the new one is light weigh, stovetop ready, and truly the cream of the crop slow cooker. The price tag on it isn’t outrageous either at $79.99.
This Crock-Pot® is perfect for browning foods beforehand on the stove. Plus it has a simple easy to use digital timer for setting it up to cook with ease. It automatically goes back to warming setting once the time is up. With this new feature, now I only have to use one pot to make my favorite slow cooker meals.
Right now Crock-Pot® is hosting the Ultimate Crock-Pot® Crock Star competition. The winner will receive $5,000 and a feature on CrockPot.com and more. I was going to make my Mom’s Swiss steak to showcase using this crock pot on the stove and then straight to cooking all day long. However, my kids begged me to make their beloved meatballs for the #CrockStars competition. They claimed that the kid-friendly meatball recipe would win the most views.
Here is a quick video of me making this simple dish. I was doing it one handed, but it still get to see how easy it is to use.
