This Tropical Pasta Salad recipe is a delicious summer dish. Not only is it a delicious macaroni salad but it’s also an easy side dish to whip up as well.

When it comes to Hawaiian pasta salad, you’re not going to get a better flavor this simple recipe. Packed full of vegetables and fruit, this authentic Hawaiian macaroni salad is going to have everyone asking for seconds. It would pair up nicely with some Kalua pork or other Hawaiian meat recipe as well.

Once you whip up this simple pasta recipe, all you really need to do it cover and refrigerate to really let your flavors combine together perfectly.

This pasta salad recipe is really, really simple. And adding a dash of salt and pepper at the end can really help to enhance the flavor as well.

If this isn’t already on the menu at a Hawaiian restaurant, it should be! My boys love to eat and this is one of their favorite pasta salad dishes! The sweetness and the crunch make everyone really happy and full!

Why is it best to add noodles to a pot of salted water?

Adding your noodles to a large pot of salted water just helps add a bit of flavor to your noodles and can also help them to prevent sticking together as well.

All you have to do is bring a large pot of water to a bowl and then add in your noodles according to the directions on the back of your noodle box.

What other ingredients can be added to pasta salad recipes? 

You can literally add anything that you want. Green onions, cheddar cheese, a cup grapes, grilled chicken, hard-boiled egg, fresh vegetables, sweet pineapple, diced red onion, or anything else that you want to this incredible side dish!

  • 1 16 oz. box elbow macaroni (cooked according to package directions )
  • 1 Cup Red Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Celery finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Carrots finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Red Pepper finely chopped
  • 2 Green Onions finely chopped
  • 2 Hardboiled Eggs finely chopped
  • 1 Can Pineapple Chunks
  • ¼ Cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ Cup Hawaiian marinade


    Grab a mixing bowl and combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Hawaiian marinade. Mix them until they are blended well.

    Next add in your chopped veggies, pineapple, and cooked macaroni and top it with dressing. Once that is done, you're going to stir it until it's well combined and coated.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
