What is the best way to keep bread moist once baked?
Proper storage is essential to maintaining the moisture in bread after baking. Begin by allowing the bread to cool completely on a wire rack to prevent condensation from building up within the packaging.
Once cool, wrap the bread tightly in foil or cling wrap, or place it in an airtight container to lock in the freshness. For those planning to keep the bread moist over a few days, consider slicing it and freezing it in sealed bags, taking out portions as needed, and thawing at room temperature.
Remember that bread boxes and bags designed for storage can also effectively retain moisture and prevent the bread from drying out too quickly.
Avoid refrigeration as it tends to dry bread out faster due to the dehydrating effects of circulating air inside the fridge.

Can I freeze baked sweet bread?
Baked sweet bread is easy to freeze and can retain its taste and texture if properly stored. Before freezing, ensure the bread has cooled entirely after baking to prevent condensation and ice crystal formation.
Wrap it snugly in aluminum foil or plastic wrap, then place it in a heavy-duty freezer bag to ward off freezer burn and odor absorption. Sweet bread can last in the freezer for up to three months, making it a convenient, make-ahead treat.
When you’re ready to enjoy it, thaw it at room temperature. A quick stint in the oven or microwave should do the trick if you like it warm.
