What is the best way to store cookies?

The biggest thing to keep in mind when storing cookies is that you want them to cool completely before adding them to a container with a lid.

As long as you do that and keep them out of the air, they should stay fresh and delicious for several days.

Cookie recipes often call for peanut butter as a key ingredient due to its rich flavor and creamy texture. However, there are many alternative options available for those with peanut allergies or simply looking for a change.

One option is almond butter, which offers a similar texture and taste to peanut butter, but with a slightly sweeter and nuttier flavor.

Another option is sunflower seed butter, which has a distinct flavor profile that can add a unique twist to classic cookie recipes.

For those seeking a healthier option, pureed avocado can be used as a substitute, providing a creamy and nutritious addition to any cookie recipe.

While each substitute may alter the flavor and texture of the result slightly, experimenting with different options can lead to deliciously surprising results.

How do I freeze baked cookies?

When it comes to preserving freshly baked cookies for later enjoyment, freezing them is an ideal option. However, there are a few key steps to ensure that these cookies remain in their best condition after thawing.

First and foremost, it is important to allow the cookies to cool completely before freezing them. This will prevent any moisture from forming inside the container and causing freezer burn.

Once cooled, the cookies should be arranged in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and placed in the freezer until they are firm.

They can be transferred to an airtight container or freezer bag for long-term storage. When ready to enjoy, simply remove the cookies from the freezer and allow them to come to room temperature before serving.

With proper freezing techniques, your baked cookies can retain their taste and texture for up to three months.
