Cotton Candy Puppy Chow Recipe
This isn’t hard to make at all. Just make certain that you’re using a microwave safe bowl and that you use baking sheets or a roasting pan to let it dry and get ready to eat.
My boys love this simple snack recipe because it really does taste like they’re eating cotton candy. It’s sweet but not too sweet and just has a really fun flavor and taste. It’s so much fun to make and surprise them with!

How do you store this Chex party mix?
Due to the Chex cereal, it’s important to keep it stored in an airtight container. You don’t have to store it in the fridge but you can if you want. The white chocolate does provide a coating but it still needs to be kept out of the air.

I was shocked to hear that people say that this is a Chex snack mix that tastes like candy floss. Candy floss? It’s true! It’s also a name that people say instead of cotton candy!

Cotton Candy Puppy Chow Recipe
This is such a simple and easy recipe to make!
Ingredients
- 6 cups of rice Chex
- 1 pack of White Candy Melts
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons of FUN sprinkles
- 1 teaspoon Cotton Candy Flavor
Instructions
Put 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 1 1/2 T of the sprinkles into a 2-gallon bag.
Take and pour the cereal into a large bowl.
Drizzle with cotton candy flavoring. Stir with a wooden spoon.
Melt the candy melts in the microwave according to the package directions.
Once it is melted, take and pour over the cereal.
Stir carefully and coat the cereal.
Once it is coated add it to a sealable bag with the rest of the powdered sugar.
Coat and pout on a baking sheet. Add sprinkles and let dry.
