Easy Grinch Peppermint Pretzel Rods

Sharing is caring!

I made these super fast Grinch Peppermint Pretzel Rods with a little chocolate, sprinkles, and a bit of crushed peppermint. To say they’re Grinch-tastic is quite the understatement!

I have so many great Ginchmas ideas that I think you’re going to love!

Grinch Peppermint Pretzel Rods are crafted by coating pretzel rods with green candy melts, then drizzling them with red and white icing. Displayed on a wooden surface, these treats perfectly capture the Grinchy holiday spirit.

The trick here is to not overthink making your Grinch Peppermint Pretzel Rods. They’re super easy and don’t take much at all. Just melt your chocolate, whether it’s melting candy discs (my favorite), dark chocolate, almond bark, milk chocolate chips or white chocolate for baking.

Then start dipping pretzel sticks and gently remove the excess by letting it drip back into the melted chocolate. You decorate your chocolate-dipped pretzel rods with whatever you’re going to use, then let these sweet and salty treats chill in the fridge or sit on the counter at room temperature until the chocolate is hardened.

When that’s done, it’s time to stick your chocolate-covered pretzel rods into cellophane bags for gifting!

What Chocolate Do You Use to Make Candy Coated Pretzel Sticks for Christmas?

Like I said, there’s no real rhyme or reason, but I generally like to use melting chocolate or candy melts for my pretzel rods. They melt easier, have a tendency to stay workable longer and you don’t have to color them. Easy peasy.

Just be sure to read the instructions for melting the chocolate because some of them need to be heated in intervals, stirring between each.
