Melting the chocolate chips in a large bowl is probably the “hardest” part. Once you get through that simple step, the rest is really a breeze! Add the melted chocolate mixture to the rice Chex mix and give it a good stir. Make certain that you spread it out and let it cool down so it’s ready to eat!

Every time I make this, it’s gone in a flash. It’s just so good and simple to grab by the handful as you’re walking past. Trust me…I do this and my boys do, too!

Cookie Butter Puppy Chow Recipe

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of cookie butter
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1-2 T shortening or butter
  • 4or 5 cups of Chex cereal
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Put the white chocolate chips, shortening/butter, and cookie butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 35 seconds. Stir. Reheat if needed.

    Mix in the Chex cereal. Coating completely.

    Put the powdered sugar into a ziplock bag and add in the cereal.

    Close the bag and shake well.

    Pour the cereal out on the baking sheet and let it dry for an hour.
