The main thing to keep in mind when you’re making this muddy buddy recipe is that you want the cake mix and powdered sugar to mix well together in the plastic bag. Some people say it reminds them a bit of cake batter, but for me, that’s all part of the flavor. It really is one of my favorite dessert recipes.
My boys are no strangers to puppy chow over the years but this one is one of their favorites. They’ll still ask for me to make this and literally be licking the bowl clean when it’s gone.

All you have to do is store it in a sealable container or bag and keep the air from getting to it. This will keep it as fresh and flavorful for as long as possible.

How long does it take for this dessert recipe to cool down?
It really doesn’t take that long at all. I would say within 15 minutes of making it, it should be cooled down enough for you to eat. You’re really just waiting on the cream cheese frosting to cool.
