All you have to do is follow the simple directions and get some extra hands to help you stir the ingredients. My boys love being a part of the baking process because it makes the ingredients taste so much better, knowing they helped!

How do I know when brownies are done baking?

It is essential to know when your brownies are done baking to ensure that they are neither undercooked nor burned.

A standard indicator of doneness is a toothpick test: insert the toothpick into the center of the brownies and observe if the pick comes out with moist crumbs or clean.

If it comes out clean, that means that the brownies have completed baking and should be taken out.

Additionally, lightly press down on the surface of the brownies to determine their doneness; if they are springy to touch, they can be taken out of the oven.

Lastly, you can also look at the edges of the brownie pan – if they look solidified, this usually indicates that the brownie is done.

How do I store brownies to keep them soft?

Storing brownies properly is key to ensuring they remain soft and chewy. To do this, wrap them individually in aluminum foil after completely cooling them.

Place the wrapped brownies in an airtight plastic container or a food-safe freezer bag. They will keep up to one week at room temperature and up to three months in the freezer.

If freezing, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator before eating.

Additionally, adding a slice of bread to the container helps to keep brownies soft as bread absorbs much of the moisture in the atmosphere, thus preventing dryness.

Combining these simple techniques will ensure that your brownies remain moist and delicious for days!
