How to Make Hamburger Soup with Onion Soup Mix
Brown the ground beef in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add the onion soup mix and beef broth then lower the temperature.
Stir to combine. No need to go crazy though, just move on.
Add diced potatoes and shredded carrots and stir.
Cover the beef soup and simmer for about 20 minutes.
In a separate bowl, add 1 teaspoon of milk to your cornstarch and stir together until you’ve made a paste.
Continue adding milk to the cornstarch and stirring until it’s all combined.

Pour the milk and cornstarch mixture into the soup and stir to combine.
Simmer for and additional 10 minutes. And start drooling because the smell…ooooh, it’s going to smell so good.
Remove the soup from the stove and stir in the shredded cheese.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Enjoy with a slice of crusty bread!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 4 Cup(s) beef broth
- 1 package frozen diced potatoes
- 1 Cup(s) shredded carrots
- 2 Cup(s) milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 Cup(s) shredded cheddar jack cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
