Even though the crushed candy canes are optional, I highly recommend them! They go perfectly with the texture of these chocolate-covered pretzels! This recipe has minimal steps and minimal ingredients but is loaded with perfect flavor.

How do you get off the excess chocolate candy coating when making the pretzel rods?

You can dip the pretzels with a fork and then hold it over the bowl. The melted chocolate will fall off the pretzel and land back in the bowl.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 Pretzels
  • 1 Cup(s) of White Candy Melts
  • Cup(s) of Red Candy Melts
  • 1 Crushed Candy Cane/crushed peppermints optional

Instructions
 

  • Put parchment paper down on a cutting board.
  • Place the candy melts in a bowl that is microwave safe and heat according to the package directions.
  • Dip each pretzel into the chocolate and let the excess chocolate drip off. Put the pretzels on the wax paper. Repeat with all pretzels.
  • Put the red candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and melt according to the directions on the back of the bag.
  • Drizzle the red over the top of the white pretzels.
  • Add crushed candy cane if you’d like.
  • Let dry and serve.
