This caramel and sour cream dip might sound weird to the uninitiated, but trust me, after one bite you are going to wonder how you lived your entire eating just marshmallow fruit dip!

I am not being frivolous with my praises, I am so serious!

Do you need to chill this dip before eating?

I always store it in the refrigerator until we’re ready to eat it. It’s just really good cold so it’s fast and easy to make that step happen.

But, it isn’t required.

You do, however, need to refrigerate any that you don’t eat right away. The cream cheese will breed bacteria quickly if not chilled.

Is this fruit dip super sweet?

If you are not a junk-food junkie like me, you might find it a tad rich. If so, simply add 1-3 tablespoons of sour cream. Add it one tablespoon at a time, stir well, and taste it.

When you add sour cream to your caramel sauce, you create an amazing concoction that even the most discerning taste buds will fall in love with!

How do you get the lumps out of the cream cheese and brown sugar mixture?

No one likes lumpy dip but you can stop it from happening!

You need to be certain that the cream cheese is at room temperature and that the brown sugar hasn’t hardened and gotten old. Then, just use an electric mixer until you beat it smooth.

If the brown sugar has hardened, simply put some in a microwave-safe bowl, add a moistened napkin to the top, and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave!
