What are the best toppings for baked casseroles?

When deciding the best toppings for baked casseroles, there are various factors to consider.

First and foremost, the topping should complement the casserole flavors without overpowering them. This requires a delicate balance between the ingredients in the casserole itself and the toppings added to it.

Some popular options include cheeses like Parmesan or cheddar, breadcrumbs, and herbs like parsley or thyme.

It’s important also to consider the texture of the topping, as it should provide a slight crunch or crispy finish to the casserole.

    1. Thank you for pointing that out! I’ve updated the recipe card, but you pour the egg mixture on top of the ham and biscuits once they’re added to the dish. Thanks!
