What are the best cookies for dipping?

Classic chocolate chip cookies, with their crispy edges and gooey centers, soften just enough in milk while retaining their shape. Shortbread cookies, known for their buttery richness and crumbly texture, absorb just the right amount of liquid without disintegrating.

Biscotti are the ultimate dipping cookie for a more sophisticated treat. Their firm, crunchy texture holds up well, allowing you to enjoy that delicious fusion of flavors with every bite.

Everyone will love snacking on this Bone Yard Frosting Board Recipe. It's the perfect dessert for Halloween!

Ingredients

  • 7 Ounces Buttercream Frosting
  • 1-3 Teaspoons Cocoa Powder
  • Halloween Sprinkle Mix
  • Gummy Worms
  • 10 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
  • 4 Vanilla Sandwich Cookies
  • Pretzel Twists
  • Shortbread Cookies
  • 1 Ounce White Chocolate Melts
  • Brown Food Gel

Instructions

  1. Put the frosting in a bowl and add 1-3 teaspoons of the cocoa powder. Then add 4-6 drops of the brown gel color. Mix.
  2. Cover the bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes for the coloring to deepen.
  3. Grab a different bowl and melt the white chocolate candy melts according to the package directions.
  4. Put the melted chocolate into a piping bag with a small hole at the tip.
  5. Pipe the white chocolate to fill the head and hand molds of the skeleton. Put the molds in the fridge for 10 minutes to set.
  6. Use this time to crush the cookies. Put them in a food processor or sealable bag to crush.
  7. Remove the chocolate molds from the fridge and take them out of the molds. It's okay if they break while you're removing them. It will just add to the spooky appeal.
  8. To decorate the board, spread the icing all over the board. Be sure to leave some room on the edges to add treats.
  9. Sprinkle the crushed cookies on top of the frosting.
  10. Add the Halloween sprinkles, skeleton chocolate pieces, and gummy worms.
  11. Add the cookies and pretzels around the board.
