The white chocolate popsicle treats are my favorite but the milk chocolate ones are a close second. The combination of the sticky marshmallow and Rice Krispies are a simple flavor that I love.

Rice Krispie Treat Popsicle

To make this popsicle rice-Krispie treat, it’s really not hard at all. This is because you’re literally using Rice Krispie Treats that you’re buying from the store! But if you want to make your own from scratch, you need to have your own rice Krispies cereal and marshmallows and just remember to use parchment paper, waxed paper, and or/cooking spray as well.

The melted butter stirred together with the marshmallows is the thing that takes the most time but it’s still really simple.

My boys tend to eat a lot so this simple dessert recipe is perfect. They can literally grab it and go as they’re walking out of the house.

How hard is it to get the marshmallows completely melted?

Again if you decide to make your own from scratch, it’s not hard at all. You just need to get your butter melted, and then add in your cereal and marshmallows from there. A few lumps are fine since it’s just a giant lump of marshmallow.

Ingredients

  • (1) 8 ct boxes of Kellogg's Rice Krispie Treats
  • 8 Popsicle sticks OR Lollipop sticks
  • 12 oz Wilton Bright White candy melts
  • 12 oz Wilton Chocolate candy melts
  • Small paring knife
  • Multi-colored sprinkles

Instructions

Start by lining a large baking sheet with wax or parchment paper - up to you which one.

Take and open up each Rice Krispie Treat and toss the wrappers in the trash.

Next, take and use the small paring knife to carefully cut two of the top corners of the Rice Krispie Treat. Once that is done, use your hands to mold the edges into a round shape to resemble the look of a popsicle. Repeat this with all of the treats.

Take and Insert one popsicle into the bottom of each treat and then put it on the prepared baking sheet.

Once this is done for all, take and place the baking sheet in the fridge for 20 minutes.

After the Rice Krispie Treats have firmed up, go ahead and open up the candy melts. Then, take and pour about 1/2 of each of the colors into separate microwave-safe dishes.

Put one color at a time into the microwave and heat in 30-second increments, stirring occasionally, until melted completely.

Then, you're going to take and dip four of the Rice Krispie Treat Popsicles into the melted coating. Allow the excess to drip back into the bowl to avoid a mess.

Once you've dipped, take and place the treats on the baking sheet and add on the sprinkles.

Repeat this same process with the other bowl of candy melts as well.
