My boys love to eat this simple pizza recipe and have asked for this for years. I’m always happy to give it to them because I love it just as much as them! I also love that it doesn’t take a ton of work.

How do you know when the tortilla pinwheel pizza dough is done baking?

The real clue is going to be when it turns golden brown on top. Also, keep your nose handy because you’ll smell it, too.

Be certain the baking sheet or line the pan with parchment paper so that they don’t stick.

Pizza Pinwheels Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Total Time: 13 minutes

These Pizza Pinwheels are a winning dish!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 pkg of pepperoni slices
  • 1 large bag of shredded mozzarella equal to 4 cups
  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Roll out crescent rolls, but pinch together the diagonal lines to create rectangles.
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine the cheese and egg yolks.
  4. Spread cheese mixture over the dough.
  5. Top cheese with pepperoni slices.
  6. Roll them into a log, starting from the short end.
  7. After you roll, slice them and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 8 minutes.

My little one would be all over these, but my older daughter (6) is so funny about new foods. She loves pizza though, so I bet I could get her to try these! I think it's great when you can make food fun and these look like they fit the bill.
