This meat mixture is loaded down with onions and bell peppers and I love how fast I can use a skillet over medium heat to get the beef and mixture cooked up perfectly. Since this recipe just takes a few minutes to make and is full of easy ingredients and steps, you’re going to have a hearty meal on the table in a short amount of time.

Is there a way to cut down on the saturated fat of this sloppy joe recipe?
If you want to cut down on some of the fat content, you can use ground turkey or even cook up ground chicken as well. This will still give you that delicious flavor with less grease.
More Ground Beef Recipes:
- 2 green peppers
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup of Italian blend cheese
- 4 buns
Cut up the onions and peppers. Set aside.
Put the olive oil in the skillet and have it on medium heat. Add in the ground beef and brown. Put in the salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
Add in the onions and peppers and saute.
Put in the Worcestershire sauce.
Turn the heat to low and stir.
Put the meat in 4 piles and sprinkle with cheese mixture. Let melt.
Take the pan off the stove and put the meat onto the buns.
