What is the best way to store baked bread?

The best way to store baked bread is to wrap it tightly in a towel or parchment paper, place it in an airtight container, and store it in a cool spot.

To keep the bread as fresh as possible for as long as possible, try to consume it within two days.

Baked bread can become stale faster if exposed to too much heat, so find a place far from heating appliances and direct sunlight.

If any slices are left uneaten after two days, toast them until they are crispy to make them enjoyable again.

By storing the bread properly and eating up all of your creations while they’re still fresh, you can ensure that you get the most out of your baking sessions!

This Paska Easter Bread Recipe is perfect for the Easter table. Made using a bread mix!

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Pillsbury Hot Roll Mix (includes yeast packet)
  • 1 cup Hot Water
  • 2 Tbsp softened butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt

Instructions

Add the bread mix and the yeast into a bowl. Sit in the butter, butter, and 1 egg.

Mix using a fork or your hands until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2-3 minutes. You might need to add more flour as needed.

Add the dough into a lightly greased bowl, and cover with a towel. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Divide the two into two. One ball is 3/4 of the dough size, and the other is 1/4.

Split the smaller dough ball into three pieces, and roll each into a rope. Then braid the three pieces.

Take the larger piece of dough, and roll it into a ball. Place that into a greased 9X2 round pan.

Grab the braided dough and form a cross over the top of the large piece of dough.

Crack the last egg, and add it to a small bowl. Whisk it.

Grab a pastry brush, brush the dough's top, and braid with the egg.

Add the salt on top.

Put the pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Remove and let the bread rest for 5 minutes.
