When should we start planning our family Halloween fun?
Start early enough to enjoy the excitement, not rush through it! A little planning now means a whole lot more fun (and fewer “boo-boos”) later.
Mid-September:
Brainstorm costume ideas and DIY decor projects.
Start collecting craft supplies and treats for goody bags.
Make a family activity calendar for Halloween events and movie nights .
Early October:
Decorate the house — both inside and out!
Begin making or buying costumes.
Test out Halloween recipes or snacks for parties and school events.
Mid to Late October:
Enjoy family fun nights — carving pumpkins , telling spooky stories, and visiting local events.
Finalize any party plans or trick-or-treat routes.
