The steps of this brownie dessert isn’t hard and one of the steps is actually just having to mix the brownie mix. How simple is that?!

One of the biggest things to remember with this simple recipe is that you need to use firm butter to butter the baking dish, not melted butter. Also, don’t use cooking spray. The only thing that will help these bars not stick to the pan is firm butter.

We actually make this every fall, and sometimes after Halloween comes and goes as well. Since there is no shortage of candy corn in the world, it’s a simple dessert where we don’t have to scramble for ingredients.

Start by living your baking dish (9X9) with parchment paper and butter the sides with firm butter, not melted butter, and not cooking spray.

Use a mixing bowl and add in eggs, sugar, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla. Mix until creamy.

Take a different bowl and put in the baking soda, flour, and salt and stir. Add the flour mixture to the other bowl and blend well.

Next, add in the chocolate chips and make certain they're mixed in well.

Put the cookie dough mixture into the baking dish and spread out evenly. Put candy corn on top and set aside.

Next, grab a mixing bowl and make the brownie mix according to directions on the box.

Once made, pour on top of the candy corn. Pop in the oven and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. (or until toothpick inserted comes out clean)

Take out of the oven and let cool on a wire rack for 2 hours.

Once it is cool, put on the frosting and sprikle with sprinkles and candy corn on top.

You can then let the frosting set up to firm and serve.
