How do you stop ice cream from getting ice crystals?
The biggest thing to keep in mind is that you need to keep it stored well in the freezer. If any air gets to it, this is when ice crystals are going to form.
If you have an old plastic ice cream bucket (you know the ones I’m talking about, right?) then clean it out really well and use it to store your homemade ice cream. This is a great way to have a bucket with a good seal on it and the perfect way to keep your ice cream as fresh as possible.
