How do I create a fun family movie night?

Creating a fun family movie night starts with picking a film everyone can enjoy, whether an animated adventure for all ages or a comedy classic.

Set the scene by arranging a cozy viewing area with plenty of pillows and blankets, and maybe even build a fort for added fun.

Offer a variety of snacks, from nutritious options to indulgent treats, ensuring there’s something for every taste bud.

Make it interactive with themed games or costumes related to the movie, promoting laughter and family bonding.

Finally, dim the lights, silence the phones, and enjoy a memorable night at the movies right in your living room.

Ingredients

  • Smoked Cocktail Sausages
  • Pretzel Nuggets
  • Mini Rolls
  • Popcorn
  • Restaurant Tortilla Chips
  • Twizzlers
  • M&Ms
  • Whoppers
  • Sour Patch Kids
  • Cheese Dip
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Start by cleaning and drying your board.
  2. Next, microwave your cocktails, sausages, and pretzel nuggets.
  3. While those items are cooking, slice the mini rolls in half.
  4. Take your sausages out of the microwave, place them on the mini roll halves, and wrap them to look like mini hotdogs. Add ketchup, mustard, or both on top of the hotdogs. Then, set them to the side.
  5. Put the popcorn in the popcorn boxes.
  6. Pour your cheese into a serving bowl and place it in the middle of your board.
  7. Next, place your hotdogs and pretzel nuggets on opposite sides of the bowl of cheese dip.
  8. Add your popcorn to your board. You can lay the box down so the popcorn spills out or place them straight up.
  9. Put the chips opposite of the popcorn on the board.
  10. Now add your candy to the board. Start with the M&Ms and place them between the hotdogs and popcorn. Put enough candy to fill up the whole section.
  11. Repeat this step with the sour candy, whoopers, and Twizzlers. (Optional: you can cut the Twizzlers in half just so they look nicer on the board and so you have more treats to eat.)
