Ladybug Lovebug Pretzels Recipe
Making Ladybug Lovebug Pretzels is hands-down one of the easiest—and tastiest—recipes you’ll try! You can whip up these adorable little snacks in no time with just a few simple ingredients like pretzels, candy melts, and candy eyes.
The best part? You don’t need any special baking skills. Just melt, dip, decorate, and voilà—you’ve created a treat that’s almost too cute to eat (almost!).
Every time I’ve made these – they’re gone in a jiffy! I make sure to grab a couple as I’m sitting down the plate because I don’t want to miss out on the yumminess!

What is the easiest way to melt candy melts?
The easiest way to melt candy melts is by using the microwave—trust me, it’s a game-changer! Pour the candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl and heat them in 30-second intervals on medium power.
After each round, stir them quickly to distribute the heat evenly. Keep going until they’re smooth and silky—goodbye, lumps! Be careful not to overheat them, as they can quickly become clumpy.
Pro tip: Add a teaspoon of vegetable shortening if you want an extra smooth consistency that is perfect for dipping or drizzling.
Just know that for this recipe – you’re actually just softening the candy melts on top of the pretzel, so there is no major melting happening!

How do I store chocolate dipped pretzels?
Once the chocolate has fully set, pop your pretzels into an airtight container. This helps them stay crunchy and prevents the chocolate from absorbing any unwanted moisture or odors.
Keep the container in a cool, dry place—your pantry or countertop works great! Avoid the fridge unless it’s super hot, as the moisture can mess up the chocolate’s texture.
