Because, I’ll be honest, while I love a good mug of hot cocoa, sometimes, I just want a little touch of chocolate in my latte, if you know what I mean…
I just love these easy Grinch themed chocolate-dipped spoons, they’re like a big drip of chocolate dropped on a spoon with marshmallows and a big sprinkle on top. So perfect for that cup of morning Christmas grump. So much better than a store-bought hot chocolate spoon.

Grinch Cocoa Spoons
At the end of the day, these fun Grinch cocoa spoons are so much more than just some white chocolate chips melted on a plastic spoon. They’re simple and fun, but really make an impact.
Whether you’re making these for yourself to swirl in a nice cup of coffee, or if you plan to serve these to the kiddos with a cup of hot milk instead of making full-on Grinch hot chocolate bombs, these are really fantastic.

What Kind of Chocolate Can You Use to Make Chocolate Spoons?
Easy. Any chocolate will work. Dark Chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, whatever. But to make Grinch themed cocoa stirrers, I went with melting chocolate.
Pre-colored, I don’t have to worry about the chocolate seizing up when I add the green coloring. Which is one less thing to worry about.

How Long Do Chocolate Covered Spoons for Coffee Last?
Nothing says they can’t last forever. But they won’t. Because ew and yuck and I don’t even want to go there.
So, to be safe, I’d say that, stored in an airtight container, these DIY chocolate stirring spoons will last 3-4 weeks at room temperature. If stored in the fridge, I’d give them 6 weeks. But, they’re not going to last that long if you have kids around, that’s for sure!
