What Do I Serve with a Grinch Cheese Ball?

There are numerous ways to serve this festive Grinch Cheese Ball. Traditional options include an array of crackers or freshly sliced baguettes.

The hearty flavor and texture of the cheese ball also pair well with savory chips or pretzels.

For a healthier spin, consider serving it alongside a vibrant vegetable platter, as the crisp, fresh flavors of bell pepper strips, cucumber rounds, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli florets provide a delightful contrast to the creamy, rich cheese ball.

Additionally, apple slices or grapes can offer a sweet counterpoint.

If you’re aiming for a gourmet touch, you can accompany it with artisanal jams, gourmet mustards, or honey, which can be spread over the cheese before serving on a cracker.

Remember, the goal is to offer a variety of tastes and textures that will enhance and complement the savory, creamy, and nutty flavors of your Grinch Cheese Ball.

How Do You Store Cheese Balls for a Grinchmas Party?

Storing your Grinch Cheese Ball is a simple process. Once the cheese ball is assembled, it should be wrapped tightly in plastic to prevent it from drying out and keep it fresh. You can serve it right away or refrigerate the cheese ball for about two hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

If you’re preparing the Grinch Cheese Ball for a future event, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes before serving to enhance its flavor and texture.

The Grinch Cheese Ball can be frozen if you’d like to store it for longer. Just wrap it tightly in plastic, then aluminum foil, and freeze for up to a month. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving.

A Grinch Cheese Ball is the perfect addition to any Grinchmas party! It's the perfect addition to any Grinchmas cheese board, and is sure to be a hit with your guests.

  • 3-4 Green Onion Stalks
  • 1 tsp Green Gel Food Coloring
  • 1 cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Green Olives
  • 1/4 cup Green Olives
  • 1/4 cup Black Olives
  • 1/4 cup Black Olives
  • 1 tsp Lowery's Season Salt
  • 1 tsp Lowery's Season Salt
  • 1 cup Pecan Pieces
  • 1 cup Pecan Pieces
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper

  1. Chop the green onions into small bits and add them to the mixing bowl.
  2. Chop the green olives, pimentos and all, into small bits and add them to the chopped green onion.
  3. Add the season salt and set the mixing bowl aside.
  4. Add 1/2 of the food coloring to the cream cheese and stir until the cheese is consistently green throughout.
  5. Add the remaining portion of food coloring to the mozzarella cheese and stir until the cheese is consistently green throughout.
  6. Add the cheeses to the mixing bowl with the green onion and stir until the mixture is completely combined.
  7. Spoon the mixture onto your plate in a vaguely Grinch-face shape. I did this by making three balls, two on the bottom and one on the top of those two in a triangle. Then I smoothed and shaped until I had a pointy chin and rounded flat head above two large cheeks.
  8. Using the pecan pieces, outline the shape of the Grinch face and further form it as desired.
  9. Slice the yellow bell pepper into two small eye shapes, flat on the top and rounded on the bottom. Place these in the head area.
  10. Slice the black olives very thinly and use them to create a nose, mouth and eyebrows, as well as further detail the pupils.
  11. Surround with crackers or other dipping materials and serve!
