But back to how delicious this particular white hot chocolate is–and how fun it is to make. I’m not kidding that this disappeared in a matter of minutes. The kids really did love it.
And, it didn’t hurt that we had the Grinch movie on and were cuddling up under a toasty blanket.
If you’re ready for a toasty warm Grinch drink, well, let’s grab a whisk and get makin’!
How to Make This Grinch Hot Cocoa Recipe
In a large saucepan, whisk or stir together milk, heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk over low to medium heat until the mixture becomes hot and steamy.
(If you were making mint hot cocoa instead of Grinch hot cocoa, you’d stir together milk, vanilla, food coloring and mint chocolate in a medium saucepan. But that’s just if you were doing a whole different recipe…)
Reduce heat and stir in your white chocolate chips and some drops of green food coloring (leave this out and it’s just white hot chocolate–nothing to do with the Grinch).
As soon as the chocolate chips have melted, remove the hot cocoa from heat.
Serve topped with whipped cream, miniature marshmallows or a jumbo heart red sprinkles.
Enjoy!
