How do I know when a cake is done baking?

Knowing when a cake is done baking can be tricky, but there are some tried-and-true methods for determining the perfect baking time.

To check if your cake is finished, gently touch its center: if it springs back immediately and no indentation remains, then the cake is done baking.

Alternatively, you can insert a toothpick into the center of your cake: If it comes out cleanly with no chunks of stuck batter on it, then your cake is finished.

Lastly, trust your eyes! The color should be golden brown and not pale or soggy when indicating that the cake is fully baked.

How do I store a baked cake?

Storing a baked cake can seem tricky. However, it’s pretty simple if you follow a few steps. Firstly, make sure the cake is completely cool before storing it away.

Then wrap the cake in either plastic or aluminum foil to seal it securely so and won’t dry out or attract any other flavors from the fridge.

Finally, place the wrapped cake in an airtight container or plastic bag before refrigerating it for up to five days.

Freezing your cake for extended periods is also an option if you wish to store it for more extended periods.

To do this, wrap the cooled cake in plastic or aluminum foil and place it in freezer-safe storage containers. Your now-frozen cake can be stored for up to three months!

When do you add the 1 cup of milk? 3 T. Is all I see used. I tried to look at the cake mix online to see what it required but could not get it.
