Can I use food coloring or pink food spray in this recipe?
Since I haven’t used them, I can’t recommend them. In order to get that “unicorn look”, using the candy melts in the recipe will result in the best results. All you have to do is add the candy melts and toss the popcorn get that look. Easy peasy, right? Don’t forget to add sprinkles let dry!
Can you use plain bagged popcorn for this recipe?
If you wanted to use it, you could. Just know that it may change the taste and outcome a bit. You can use bagged popcorn for ease if you want. Serve in a large bowl or a small microwave safe bowl.
If your candy melts harden before you use them, can you reheat the candy melts in a small microwave bowl?
Yes, if you melt them and the melted candy rehardens, you can simply add them back into the microwave and melt again. It shouldn’t affect the taste or texture at all. A tiny dab of coconut oil will help make the candies to be more smooth and easier to handle.
