What is sorbet?

Sorbet is a refreshing treat many people love to indulge in during the hot summer. But what exactly is sorbet? It is a frozen dessert made from fruit, sugar, and water.

The mixture is churned to create a smooth and creamy texture similar to ice cream but without any dairy.

Sorbet is an excellent option for those who are lactose intolerant or simply looking for a lighter alternative to ice cream. It is also often beloved by vegans and vegetarians.

With a vast array of fruity and exotic flavors, sorbet is a versatile dessert that will surely please everyone’s palate.

How do I store homemade sorbet?

There’s nothing like homemade sorbet to cool you down during the hot summer months. But once you’ve made it, how do you store it to ensure it stays free from freezer burn and maintains its sweet and silky texture?

The key is to transfer your sorbet to a container with an airtight lid and place it in the freezer as quickly as possible. Covering it tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil will also work if you don’t have an airtight container.

You can store your sorbet in the freezer for up to a month, but remember to stir it and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to allow it to soften.
