Pink Hot Chocolate Recipe

My boys are obsessed with this Pink Hot Chocolate during the winter months. They say it’s rich and creamy and love piling the whipped cream.

I must admit that I’m also a fan because it’s easy to make and offers loads of delicious chocolate flavor. Now is the time to gather up the simple ingredients to get started.

This would be super fun for the kids to enjoy after a cold day playing outside or as a sweet treat for weekend fun. Either option is good!

What are the best hot chocolate toppings?

There are countless options to choose from, but some reign supreme. Whipped cream is a classic choice, adding a creamy texture and sweetness to the decadent drink.

Marshmallows are another staple, melting into the hot chocolate and adding a playful element to each sip.

For those who crave something a little more sophisticated, a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of nutmeg can add a subtle spice and warmth to the drink.

And for the chocolate lovers out there, chocolate shavings or a drizzle of chocolate syrup create a rich and indulgent experience.

Ultimately, the best hot chocolate toppings are the ones that take your taste buds on a journey and make you savor every sip.

What can I use instead of hazelnut extract?

Hazelnut extract is typical in baked goods, ice creams, and other desserts. Unfortunately, if you don’t have it on hand and your recipe calls for it, you might be worried about how to replace it.

The good news is that several substitutes can work in its place.

You could use almond extract, vanilla extract, or even a combination of the two.

Another option is to use roasted and ground hazelnuts. By grinding them into a fine powder, you can add that nutty flavor to your recipe without needing extract.

No need to worry. With these alternatives, you can still make recipes with that delicious hazelnut taste!
